Amanda McNicholas
Amanda McNicholas, DNP, MBA, CRNP

Amanda began her career at Reading Hospital in 2005 as a certified registered nurse practitioner (CRNP) in trauma services. In 2008, she became the Director of Advanced Practice for Trauma, Acute Care Surgery and Critical Care. This role expanded to include Neurocritical Care in 2014 and expanded again 2015, as Trauma Program Director, where she worked collaboratively with leadership to optimize operations and strategic planning for the Trauma Department’s transition to Level 1 status.

In 2018, Amanda became the Chief Advanced Practice Provider for Tower Health where she serves as an advocate for all Advanced Practice Provider (APP) roles while ensuring that APPs are working to the full extent of licensure across the organization. In 2022, Amanda accepted a Vice President position as a service line leader for Trauma, Orthopedics, and Critical Care, where she continues to optimize the care that critically ill and injured patients receive at Tower Health.

Prior to her career at Tower Health, Amanda worked as an RN at Temple University Hospital as well as a CRNP at Temple Children’s Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Amanda obtained a Master of Science in Nursing, Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner from Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; a Master of Science in Nursing, Pediatric Nurse Practitioner from Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Temple University. She completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice in 2018 and Master of Business Administration in 2021 from West Chester University.

Amanda is an active member of the Tower Health Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Council and serves as an APP representation for Tower Health Partners.
