Reading Hospital Foundation and McGlinn Cancer Institute - Reading Hospital invite all members of Reading Hospital and the larger Berks County community to join us as we raise awareness for men’s health and the fight against cancer. So, let’s leave the razors in the drawer, grow some hair, and raise money for an incredibly important cause. Are you in?
New Rules for 2023!
- Start with a beard, stubble, or a smooth face - it’s up to you!
- We encourage you to limit or forego grooming your facial hair for the entire month of November.
- You must send a “starting face” photo by October 30.
- All participants agree to raise a minimum of $250 through individual donations (family, friends, colleagues).
Prizes will be awarded for:
- Best facial hair
- Most money raised
- Most supporters

Important Notes on PPE Guidelines
An N95 mask may not fit tightly on employees with facial hair. Those providing patient care who require an N95 mask may instead use a PAPR for enhanced airborne precautions. On this CDC page, you will find information about this issue.
