Reading Hospital Magnet Champions are again partnering with the United Way of Berks County to coordinate the 2023 Stuff the Bus - Adopt a Classroom campaign to support the Reading School District.

More than 100 hospital departments adopted 104 classrooms at Glenside Elementary, Millmont Elementary, and Tyson-Schoener Elementary, along with 21 school nursing offices. To assist with student learning and health, Reading Hospital team members are assembling Dream Boxes with supplies that teachers and nurses frequently purchase on their own for each classroom.

On Tuesday, August 22, a Reading Hospital shuttle bus, a Berks County Intermediate Unit bus, and Reading School District trucks will hit the road to pick up the donated Dream Boxes, visiting all participating sites, including outpatient offices and the hospital.

Reading Hospital employees will drop off their Dream Boxes between 8 and 11 a.m. at the Reading Hospital Clock Tower. The bus will be at the Clock Tower from 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Afterward, buses will depart and stop at each school. The Reading Hospital's Magnet Champion Team, who coordinated the event, will then deliver the donated Dream Boxes to faculty at each school.
