March 14, 2022 - Tower Health is recognizing two years of COVID-19 in the community.

March 9, 2022 - Tower Health has updated guidance for the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including masks, for employees, patients, and visitors. Per their guidance, masking is still required in healthcare settings.

November 8, 2021 - Tower Health announced that, following the FDA’s Emergency Use Authorization, Tower Health Medical Group (THMG) Pediatrics – Wyomissing, St. Christopher’s Pediatric Associates Northeast Pediatrics, Reading Hospital Children’s Health Center, and Reading Hospital Family Healthcare Center will offer the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine for current patients ages 5 to 11 by appointment.

August 17, 2021 - Tower Health announced today that it will require COVID-19 vaccination for all Tower Health employees when the FDA gives the vaccine full approval—a milestone anticipated within the coming weeks.

August 6, 2021 - Tower Health announced today the plans to close its COVID-19 vaccine clinic in September. The last day to receive the first dose of the vaccine is August 11, when the clinic will be open 8 a.m. to noon.

August 4, 2021 - As the COVID-19 Delta variant continues to spread across the country and the region, Tower Health reminds the community on the importance of getting the COVID-19 vaccine.

July 12, 2021 - Reading Hospital announced that at midnight on July 12, 2021 (when a daily census is counted), it had ZERO COVID-19 inpatients for the first time in 17 months. To date, Reading Hospital has treated 3,225 COVID-19 inpatients.

June 11, 2021 - Tower Health Urgent Care - Plymouth Meeting announced today that it is currently offering the single-dose Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine, while supplies last. No appointment is required to receive the vaccine; walk-ins are welcome.

June 1, 2021 - Tower Health announced that, effective today, it will offer walk-in vaccinations for the COVID-19 vaccine during all clinic hours.

May 18, 2021 - The pandemic is not over, but the desire to return to normal is strong, especially as warmer weather returns. However, many individuals may be anxious to safely “reenter” into more normal activities, while also feeling uncertain about safety and how to address the many changes forced upon themselves, their families, and their communities over the last year.
