In honor of National Volunteer Appreciation Week, Phoenixville Hospital held their annual Volunteer Appreciation lunch at Spring Hollow Golf Club in Spring City on April 12. It was a beautiful day to celebrate all those who give of their time to volunteer at Phoenixville Hospital. 

Phoenixville Hospital is so appreciative and proud of the 175 volunteers who donated close to 23,000 hours of service in 2018. Recognized for reaching milestones were Ann Jones of Phoenixville and Kenneth Moore of Phoenixville. Both received the Volunteer Achievement Award from Pam Leiby, Director of Senior &Volunteers Services at Phoenixville Hospital. Mrs. Jones has been a volunteer at Phoenixville Hospital since 1999 and has given 5,157 hours of service, while Mr. Moore has been with the hospital since 2011 and has logged 5,459 hours. 

Volunteers have played a critical role in hospitals for centuries, compassionately supplementing the services that staff provides to patients, their families and guests. Volunteers also play an important role in patient satisfaction, adding a special dimension of personal service and care.
