The Reading Hospital pharmacy team has expanded its home delivery service, making receiving medications easier and more convenient for patients.
Reading Hospital and Tower Health patients can request medication home deliveries directly through the MyTowerHealth app and have orders and refills delivered to any home throughout Pennsylvania. The hospital’s home delivery service was previously only available within a 30-mile radius of West Reading, PA.
“At Tower Health, we want to simplify the process for medication access, and our expanded home delivery service allows us to take one more thing off a patient’s to-do list,” said Stephanie Goldman, PharmD, Vice President, Pharmacy Operations at Tower Health. “I am proud of how our pharmacy team consistently raises the bar by providing excellent patient care and customer service.”
Beyond offering convenience, the service will also help patients who face challenges picking up their medications from retail pharmacies due to health issues, childcare limitations, or work schedules, Goldman added.
Tower Health patients can follow these steps to request home delivery from Reading Hospital Pharmacy through their MyTowerHealth account:
- Log in and choose Medications.
- Choose Request Refills and select the medication(s) you'd like to refill.
- Pick Deliver by mail or courier service to home as the delivery method.
- Confirm your delivery address and pay for your medication.
Payment for the ordered medications must be completed through the MyTowerHealth app for home delivery. However, the home delivery option is a free service provided by the pharmacy team. Delivery times will range from same-day to five days, depending on medication availability and delivery location.
“Home medication delivery is a direct result of Stephanie and the pharmacy team listening to patients and prioritizing their feedback,” said Michael Stern, COO and President of Tower Health. “I am proud of how hard they all worked to launch this expanded service, and I know they will continue to provide exceptional care that exceeds expectations."
