April 6, 2026 - Reading Hospital has been recognized for the 4th year in a row on Newsweek’s World’s Best Hospitals 2026 list. This honor reflects the dedication of physicians, nurses, clinicians, and staff who deliver expert, compassionate and innovative care to patients every day.

April 1, 2026 - As the clock ticked toward noon, excitement and anticipation filled the room at Drexel University College of Medicine (DUCOM) at Tower Health. Berks County native Alexis Price-Moyer tore open her white envelope on Match Day and discovered she would begin her general surgery residency at Temple University Medical Center.

March 24, 2026 - Nearly 50 Tower Health physicians have been recognized on the Reading Eagle’s 2026 Best Medical Professionals in Berks County List for setting a high standard of quality and patient care. The annual distinction reflects their commitment to clinical excellence, compassionate care, and dedication to improving the health of our community.

February 16, 2026 - Reading Hospital has again been named one of America’s 50 Best Hospitals by Healthgrades, the number one site Americans use when searching for a doctor or hospital. This achievement is Healthgrades’ highest honor for clinical excellence and reflects Reading Hospital’s exemplary standard of care. It places the organization in the top 1% of hospitals nationwide for the fifth consecutive year.

January 26, 2026 - Reading Hospital’s Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) believes it’s never too early to start reading! The team participated in the 2025 Babies with Books Read-A-Thon, a friendly reading competition between multiple NICUs to promote early literacy, family bonding, and brain development. 

January 21, 2026 - Falls are the leading cause of fatal and nonfatal injuries among Pennsylvanians aged 65 and older. In 2023 alone, falls led to 2,022 deaths and 68,644 hospitalizations across the state, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Health.
