April 22, 2024 – Reading Hospital has been named to Newsweek’s list of World’s Best Hospitals 2024. Newsweek and Statista Inc., the world-leading statistics portal and industry ranking provider, present this prestigious award annually.

April 19, 2024 – Tower Health announced that longtime employee Richard McLaughlin, MD, MBA has been appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of Phoenixville Hospital and Pottstown Hospital.

April 18, 2024 – Reading Hospital - Tower Health received a prestigious award for its High School Internship Program, which helps to address gaps in career exploration opportunities through hands-on experiences.

April 1, 2024 – Researchers at Reading Hospital are asking for community input to determine participation in an international study. The study would assess whether a blood clotting drug, given soon after arrival in the emergency department, can improve survival.

March 19, 2024 - Charles F. Barbera, MD, MBA, MPH, FACEP has been named to the Gift of Life Donor Program Medical Advisory and Policy Board (MAPB). The one-year term began on January 1, 2024. 

February 27, 2024 - Reading Hospital is pleased to announce that, after a comprehensive national search, Thomas Geng Jr., DO, will be named Chair, Department of Surgery, effective February 29. 

February 14, 2024 - St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children today announced a change in leadership as Don Mueller shared his plans to resign from his role as president and CEO. Robert Brooks, the current chief operating officer (COO) at St. Christopher’s, will transition during the coming months into the role of president and COO.
