November 27, 2019 - The Friends of Reading Hospital announced Lucine Sihelnik as President, Noel Garapola as Vice President of Special Projects; Diana Kleiner as Vice President of Fundraising/Finance; Toni Reece as Secretary; Sharon Keating as President Elect; and Mary Ellen Batman as Past President.

November 26, 2019 - The Friends of Reading Hospital will host its annual Holiday Happening Artisans Fair on Thursday, December 5, from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Reading Hospital's 5th Avenue Lobby.

November 19, 2019 - Reading Hospital earned the 2019 College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) HealthCare's Most Wired recognition as a certified Level 7.

November 18, 2018 - On Tuesday, November 19, members of The Friends of Reading Hospital and the Reading Hospital HeartSAFE committee will present Heart Hero Awards to individuals who provided emergency, life-saving care to two community members, Fabien Ortelli and Robert Hubert, when they experienced Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA).

November 11, 2019 - Reading Hospital was awarded an 'A' in the Fall 2019 Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade, a national distinction recognizing Reading Hospital's achievements in protecting patients from harm and providing safer healthcare.

November 5, 2019 - Beginning Friday, November 1, more than 30 Reading Hospital team members, including President and CEO, William M. Jennings, pledged to participate in the first-ever "Reading Hospital No Shave November" contest.

November 1, 2019 - On Monday, October 21, Tower Health expanded its weight management program and moved to a larger location. The new facility, Tower Health Weight Loss Surgery & Wellness Center, brings together physicians, dietitians, and psychologists to combine weight loss care at 1220 Broadcasting Road, Suite 100 in Wyomissing.

October 28, 2019 - In recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month Reading Hospital collected 2,275 pairs of shoes for men, women, and children.

October 15, 2019 - Reading Hospital - Tower Health  is proud to announce that it has been honored as part of the inaugural class of The Hospital and Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania's (HAP) Excellence in Patient Safety Recognition program.

October 9, 2019 - Reading Hospital Road Run returns to the hospital's West Reading Campus this Sunday, October 13. Hosted by The Friends of Reading Hospital, the event consists of a half marathon, 5K, and 1-mile fun run/walk that will race down the beautiful and scenic tree-lined streets of West Reading and Wyomissing.
