February 27, 2024 - Reading Hospital is pleased to announce that, after a comprehensive national search, Thomas Geng Jr., DO, will be named Chair, Department of Surgery, effective February 29. 

February 15, 2024 - Employees at Reading Hospital brought lots of love to patients this Valentine's Day, delivering 700 carnations and cards to patient rooms. 

February 14, 2024 - Reading Hospital is pleased to announce the generous donation of two AEDs that will be part of The Friends of Reading Hospital’s HeartSAFE Berks County AED Loaner Program. The program provides community organizations with access to this lifesaving technology at no cost.

February 6, 2024 - With firearms remaining the leading cause of injury and death in children, the nation’s largest regional collaboration of health systems, representing 59 hospitals in Philadelphia, Southeastern Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Southern New Jersey, is kicking off the year with a public service campaign that encourages a community approach to protecting children from unlocked guns.

January 31, 2024 - Tower Health entities are pleased to announce that Rohinton Morris, M.D. FACS, a nationally respected cardiac surgeon, will become the system’s Chief of Cardiothoracic Surgery this spring. 

January 29, 2024 - Reading Hospital announced that Guido Pichini has been named to the Board of Trustees beginning January 1, 2023, for a three-year term.

This achievement puts Reading Hospital in the top 1 percent of hospitals nationwide for overall clinical performance for the third consecutive year (2022 - 2024).
