Applications are currently being accepted for the Nursing Program for the August 2023 admission class. The application deadline is February 1, or when qualified student capacity has been reached. Nursing student graduates are eligible to take the licensing examination to become Registered Nurses (RN) and work as members of the healthcare team to provide and coordinate care for individuals, families, and communities. The Reading Hospital School of Health Sciences Nursing Program provides you with academic knowledge and hands-on experience in clinical settings to prepare you to practice as a registered nurse.
Surgical Technologists are allied healthcare professionals who provide direct patient care during surgery. Surgical technologists work side by side with surgeons, registered nurses, anesthesia care providers, and other multi-disciplinary healthcare team members. Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ultrasound) is highly skilled, operator-dependent imaging that uses advanced instrumentation to create images from inside the human body. Physicians rely heavily on sonographers to be the “eyes," to see inside the patient and aid in identifying medical diagnoses. Ultrasound is commonly used to monitor fetal growth and understand the heart, the abdomen, and the vascular and musculoskeletal systems. Applications are currently being accepted for the Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program for the January 2024 admission class. The application deadline is June 1 or when qualified student capacity has been reached.
The fast-paced, ever-changing profession of radiography allows imaging professionals to utilize technical, scientific, and interpersonal skills when providing compassionate radiologic care for their patients. Through the performance of high-quality radiologic exams, radiographers play an integral role in assisting patients in the achievement of health. A great deal of personal and professional satisfaction can be realized as this information, which is critical for the diagnosis and treatment of disease, is acquired. Applications are currently being accepted for the Medical Imaging Program for the January 2024 admission class. The application deadline is April 15 or when qualified student capacity has been reached.
