St. Christopher’s is celebrating Child Life Month, a month-long celebration when hospitals honor Child Life professionals through education and awareness of their work. There will be a full week of inpatient and staff activities on March 15-19 at St. Christopher’s, with a different costume theme each day.

March 4, 2021 - Tower Health announced today that as of Saturday, February 27, St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children successfully launched Epic, the electronic health record (EHR).

November 18, 2020 - St. Christopher's Hospital for Children, a leading pediatric hospital, and Reading Hospital – Tower Health are joining the Injury Free Coalition for Kids in launching the Inaugural U.S. National Injury Prevention Day today, Wednesday, November 18, 2020.

St. Christopher's Hospital for Children has launched a new Donor Breast Milk Program to serve newborns in the hospital's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The Donor Breast Milk Program allows breast milk to be a feeding option for the critically-ill patients being treated in the NICU.

Award makes Philadelphia hospital the only children’s hospital in the state to receive this distinction for the second year in a row.

March 18, 2020 - Effective March 17, St. Christopher's Hospital resumed Critical Care and Level 1 Trauma Services following the opening of an eight-bed pediatric intensive care unit called PICU East.
 

February 14, 2020 - Tower Health is pleased to join the Hospital & Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania (HAP) and Gift of Life Donor Program to encourage individuals to register to become organ, tissue, and cornea donors.
