Tower Health will celebrate National Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Week from September 26 to September 30. This week honors the contribution of the health system’s nearly 700 APPs – including Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists, Clinical Nurse Specialists, and Certified Nurse-Midwives. This important group of providers elevates the fields of medicine and nursing to ensure our most vulnerable populations receive high-quality, evidence-based care.

“We are proud to acknowledge National Advanced Practice Provider Week and celebrate the hard work and dedication of the APPs at our health system,” said P. Sue Perrotty, Tower Health President and CEO. “They play a critical role on our team and strengthen the health and wellness of our patients and our communities. They are truly experts in their field and provide increased access to necessary and, at many times life-saving medical care.”

This year, Tower Health accepted nominations to recognize APPs who have made an impact on their colleagues, patients, and community, as well as contributions to the profession, along with nominations for physicians who exemplify Physician and APP collaboration, education, and advocacy. This year’s winners include:

Chestnut Hill Hospital

Phoenixville Hospital

Pottstown Hospital

Reading Hospital

St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children

Amanda McNicholas, DNP, MBA, CRNP, Tower Health’s Chief Advanced Practice Provider Officer and Reading Hospital Vice President, Orthopedics, Trauma, and Critical Care Services, added, “The Advanced Practice Providers at Tower Health are committed to fulfilling the health system’s mission to provide compassionate, accessible, high-quality, cost-effective healthcare. We are proud to be a part of the team and look forward to continuing to serve our patients and our communities.”
