Specialized Care, Close to Home
No two children are alike. Neither are the amazing organs that drive so much of their personality and health. That’s why we’ve created specialized programs to deliver proven neurosurgical care.
We work closely across specialties to uncover every possibility, discuss every treatment opportunity to ensure your child receives the best possible care available.
Our programs include:
- Craniofacial Program. Craniofacial conditions refer to malformations of the face or skull. These conditions can be a result of a congenital disability, disease, or trauma.
- Epilepsy Surgical Program. For many children, epilepsy can be controlled by medication. But, for the children and families who haven’t found an answer that helps stop seizures, surgery may be an option. We work closely with our neurology team to deliver the latest innovations in diagnosing, testing, and treating epilepsy.
- Hydrocephalus Program. Hydrocephalus is the buildup of too much fluid in the brain, which causes increased pressure in the brain. This can lead to serious complications. Our team has experience and skill in diagnosing and treating hydrocephalus among children of all ages.
- Spasticity Program. Our team collaborates closely with other specialists to develop and follow a treatment plan that’s right for your child. We treat many different conditions, including cerebral palsy, traumatic brain injury, or spinal cord injury.
- Spina Bifida Program. Spinal bifida is one of the most common neural tube defects. Here, we take a team approach to your child’s care. Our neurosurgeons work alongside orthopedic surgery, urology, developmental pediatrics, physical therapy, social work, and many others.
- Concussion and Traumatic Brain Injury Program. Concussions and other head injuries can greatly interfere with a child’s ability to concentrate and enjoy favorite activities. We offer high-quality, multidisciplinary care, counseling, and education for kids, family members, doctors, coaches, and athletic directors on recognizing and treating concussions.
- Neuro-Oncology Program. Brain and spinal tumors get coordinated, expert care from our neurosurgeons, neurologists, oncologists, radiologists, and many others. We’re here to guide you through every step of your child’s journey.
