Hello! Welcome to the Reading Hospital Emergency Department. We want to give you the best possible care and address your needs as quickly as possible. It will help you feel better if you know what to expect.
While You Wait
A nurse will be with you shortly to perform a triage. Triage helps us determine how serious a wound or illness is. This means that a patient who is extremely ill or injured will be seen first. It also may be why someone who arrived after you is called to a room before you.
Do not worry. Every single patient is important to us. We are working hard to see you as soon as we can.
View Results in MyTowerHealth
You may have blood tests or x-rays. You may see the results in your MyTowerHealth account. Your results will be explained to you by a member of your care team when you are seen.
Questions
If you have any questions or need anything at all, please ask one of our staff members. We need to know if your symptoms are getting worse.
Your Phone Number
If you did not provide your most up-to-date phone number at the time of your registration, please do so in case we need to contact you. There may be news about your results or follow-up care we need to tell you after you are discharged.
Need to Leave Before Being Seen?
If you feel you can no longer wait for a healthcare provider to see you, please come to the desk and tell us before leaving. This will give us the chance to check in with you before you leave.
