Program DirectorDr. Douglas Berne is a double-boarded (adult and child and adolescent psychiatry) psychiatrist at Tower Health. He trained at Penn State College of Medicine for medical school, residency, and fellowship. He worked as a psychiatrist at the KidsPeace Berks Campus Partial Hospital Program. Before that, he was section chief of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Reading Hospital. He enjoys teaching students and is a popular speaker. Apart from teaching, he enjoys scuba diving, photography, movies, riding his motorcycle, and his several dogs, including one active and one retired therapy dog.
