Program Director, Reading Hospital Family Medicine Residency ProgramWelcome to the Reading Hospital Family Medicine Residency Program! Choosing a residency is an important and exciting decision, and we are thrilled you have chosen to pursue a career in family medicine!
Our program is built on a foundation of clinical excellence, curriculum innovation, compassionate care, and community involvement. We pride ourselves on providing an environment that fosters individualized learning while providing top-notch, broad-spectrum family medicine training. Our innovative X+Y scheduling module prepares our residents for "real-world" practice. Residents also gain experience in multiple settings, providing an opportunity to care for a very diverse patient population.
The residency was established in 1972 and has continued to graduate excellent, compassionate physicians with a love of lifelong learning. Our alumni have gone on to practice in multiple settings, including outpatient practices, hospital medicine, emergency medicine, rural medicine, sports medicine, and academia, to name a few. In fact, three of our core faculty (including me) are graduates of our program.
We invite you to explore our program and to discover more about what makes this program so special. Whether you’re interested in primary care, hospitalist work, or pursuing additional areas of interest, we are committed to helping you reach your professional goals.
Thank you for considering our Family Medicine Residency Program. We look forward to meeting you and hopefully welcoming you to our family.
